Chassis

Amplicon can supply a range of 3U chassis from ADLINK to suit your requirements. From a 6 slot portable cube to 8 or 18 slots, chassis are available with or without LCD displays and touch panels.

Controllers

We can provide a choice of controller to your PXI chassis, from Pentium III to Pentium M low power controllers. Alternatively if you prefer to use a standard PC for your software, we can offer a PCI to PXI extension kit that enables integration with a PXI chassis.

Data Acquisitie

We offer a range of PXI cards that enable monitoring of signals or waveforms for integration into Windows based operating systems. High speed digitisers offer the sampling speeds found in oscilloscopes, whereas multifunction cards can monitor up to 64 signals at lower speeds. Many products here also provide analog output signals including the PXI-2500 which can output 8 waveforms simultaneously.
High channel digital I/O can be provided with a CompactPCI card but it will not use the PXI triggers.

Modular instruments

Amplicon are able to offer a wide range of 3U PXI instrumentation cards. These include Oscilloscopes from 200MS/s to 2.5GS/s, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, RF analysers and PXI trigger cards. These can be supplied in configured systems or as separate items for your own systems.

Timing / trigger modules

A PXI chassis will provide a 10MHz clock signal that is used by all the devices fitted, however for precise triggering the Star trigger is prefered. Our Star trigger card ensures that all samples are triggered at precisely the same time by using an oven controlled crystal oscillilator and the PXI Star trigger lines.
For portable solutions a GPS signal can be used to ensure systems in different locations are triggered at the same time.

Switches

 

Three types of switch device are available  to suit your application, including relay, multiplexer and matrix modules. They can connect many "devices under test" to one measurement device such as an Oscilloscope, and all include Safety shutdown logic in case of power failure.
